Types of Coverage
There are many different kinds of insurance that we need to operate effectively and to cover all aspects of our business. We are providing a list of the most common insurance coverage packages requested by all our clients. Below are just a few of the different kinds of insurance that can cover many of your transportation needs.
Commercial Auto Liability
- This coverage protects from bodily injury and property damage in the event of an accident, that are required by state and federal governments (FMCSA). Generally, this is up to a 1 million coverage limit.
Physical Damage
Truck Insurance
- This coverage protects from damages to trucks and trailers in the event of an accident, at Advanced Truck Insurance Agency we highly recommend this coverage. Deductibles usually start at $1,000.
Trailer Interchange/Non-owned Coverage
- This provides coverage for trailers under an Interchange Agreement (Trailer Interchange) or trailers that are not owned by your company (Non-Owned) but they are being hauled using your company’s equipment. Deductibles usually start at $1,000
Motor Truck Cargo Insurance
- This provides coverage from damages to the cargo being hauled for shippers/brokers by the transportation company, this is required by all brokers/shippers. Deductibles usually start at $1,000.
General Liability
Truck Insurance
- This coverage protects against bodily injuries or property damage that might be caused by anyone affiliated with your company or hauling under your authority.
Bobtail/Non-trucking Liability/ Deadhead
- This coverage protects against bodily injury or property damage that might be caused while moving a power unit without an attached trailer (common with power unit). Clients often request this coverage to move power units between terminals, to get them repaired, etc.
